Pat T. Parks Sept. 21, 1934 - April 7, 2018

Pat T. Parks, 83, of Syracuse died at 2:06 p.m., on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Avalon Village Nursing Care, Ligonier after a brief stay. He was born on Sept. 21, 1934 in Wabash to Patrick J. and Maude (Christman) Parks; he was raised by his mother and “Daddy”, Maude and Verlyn Mullett. On Dec. 23, 1954 in Marion he married Eva “Irene” Chapman, she died February 8, 2012. Surviving are three daughters, Cindy (David) Cline of Syracuse, Sally (Joseph) Mink of Ligonier, Patsy Parks-Lantz of Syracuse; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren & great grandchildren; sister, Edna Ann (Danny) Manning of Wabash; brother, Micky (Nancy) Mullett of Wabash; sister-in-law, Mary Kay Howard of Greenwood; many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Susie Mullett; infant great grandson, Kizer Davidson. He was a Korean Navy War Veteran serving from 1954-1958, a member of the Eagles Lodge #3760, the VFW of Wolf Lake and the American Legion Post #223 in Syracuse. He was a self-employed blacksmith, had worked at Riblet Corporation in Syracuse, in the maintenance department at Skyline in Goshen and the Maple Leaf Feed Mill in Syracuse. The family will be announcing a public celebration of life service in the near future in which military honors will be given. Burial will be in Bond Cemetery, Amboy.
