Early voting opens to the public today

As of today, early voting has opened to the public for those who registered by the April 9 deadline for the upcoming primary election on May 8.

According to information provided by the Wabash County Voter Registration Office, early voting will be available at the following locations:

Tuesday, April 10 through Friday, April 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wabash County Clerk’s Office, 69 W. Hill St., WabashMonday, April 16 through Friday, April 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wabash County Clerk’s OfficeMonday, April 23 through Friday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wabash County Clerk’s OfficeSaturday, April 28 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wabash County Clerk’s Office; Timbercrest Retirement, 2201 East St., North Manchester; and Liberty Township Fire Department, 12 S. Wabash Ave., LaFontaineMonday, April 30 through Friday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wabash County Clerk’s OfficeSaturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wabash County Clerk’s Office; Peabody Retirement, 400 W 7th St., North Manchester; and Liberty Township Fire DepartmentMonday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Wabash County Clerk’s Office”The voters certainly appreciate the additional convenience of early voting days, hours and now locations with satellite places open on the two Saturdays prior to election day,” said Wabash County Clerk Elaine Martin.

Martin said the benefit of early voting extends to county employees, who often stop to vote while still in the building.

Information continues to be posted to social media through on the Wabash County Elections and Voter Registration page, which Martin says has been a benefit to the public with easy access to information throughout the year regarding voter registration, deadlines, candidate information, days and hours of early voting and election day sites.
